COVID-19 – Safe Travel Measures
London Heathrow Airport (LHR Airports Limited) has introduced a series of health measures to provide a safe environment for staff and passengers.
A series of measures are being introduced to ensure leisure and business travellers enjoy a safe and pleasant experience while passing through the airport.
Passengers arriving and travelling through Heathrow Airport are asked to respect physical distancing. There is plenty signage throughout the airport to guide you.

London Heathrow Airport continues to follow all UK Government guidance and remains in regular contact with the relevant health authorities with regards to the latest developments on Coronavirus (COVID-19).
All passengers aged 11 and over are required to wear a face covering at all times. Passengers should arrive at the airport wearing protective facial coverings. If you forget, complimentary masks will be available.
Anyone who is experiencing Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms or feeling unwell should not travel to the airport.
Temperature screening technology is being trialled and may be undertaken in Terminal 2 Arrivals and Terminal 2 and Terminal 5 check-in.
Protective screening has been installed in key areas of Heathrow Airport.
Over 600 hand sanitiser dispensers have been installed across the airport. Passengers and staff are encouraged to use them as frequently as possible.
Cleaning procedures have been enhanced throughout the airport. They are also trialling UV sanitisation measures to clean security trays.
All flights are operating out of Terminals 2 and 5 following the relocation of airlines from Terminals 3 and 4. Heathrow have a which terminal you can reference to check your flight.
